iRobot Vacuum and Mop Review
Contrary to other robot vacuums, this one isn't afraid to take on the stairs. However, just like any other mop or vacuum, it can get clogged by loose tennis shoes, ribbons and play jewelry, yarn, or other stray objects.
The iRobot Home App allows you to label rooms, and even create zones that are not allowed to enter. It also lets you monitor the progress of your mops and their battery status.
iRobot Combo j7+
The Combo J7+ is part of the mop and robotic vacuum line-up, combining the robotic cleaner's smart mapping capabilities with its ability to tackle spills. It is equipped with the same onboard acoustic sensors and iAdapt 2.0 navigation that are used in other Roomba options and maps your home seven times faster than previous models. It can also be set to keep Out Zones and Clean Zones to inform the robot which rooms it should avoid and when to clean them.
The robotic arm is the most important feature of the J7. It keeps the mop pad hidden when not in use and lowers it when carpeting or hard flooring. The idea is to not spray water onto the rug and the Combo j7+ does a good job of it in my testing. The robot stopped when it came across an area rug and did not attempt to go over it, even though I moved the rug several times.
The arm has an 240mL tank that can be easily popped out and filled, making it simpler to operate than mop pads found in other 2-in-1 robots. It also uses iRobot's PrevisionVision obstacle avoidance technology which is more advanced than other systems of this type.
iRobot Combo i5
This multitasker is designed to mop and vacuum with one machine. The vacuuming process is performed with a specially designed bin that can hold up to 60 days worth of debris, which iRobot claims will reduce the amount of dust released into the air during the process. The i5+ also features dual multi-surface rubber brushes as well as Power-Lifting Suction to tackle dirt, dust, pet hair and staining on floors. Simply replace the Mopping Bin with a compatible cleaning product and you're ready to mop.
The i5+ uses iRobot OS which means it becomes smarter as you use it. It learns your floorplan, creating a Smart Map that remembers room names as well as your specific cleaning preferences. iRobot Combo i3
The iRobot Combo i3 is an upgraded version of the original Roomba i3. It has the same fantastic dirt compartment on the outside and a HEPA filter to keep allergens out However, it now supports smart mapping. This means you can create zones that are not allowed to be used to stop it from cleaning those areas in the future. The i3 Plus still has a number of other great features too like its advanced cleaning system that has a 10x power-lifting suction and a three-stage cleaning process. It comes with a textured finish to keep pet hair, dust and fingerprints from getting on.
It removes most dirt and performs well on carpets that are not bare, but it did have problems with pet hair on carpets with low pile. It is quieter and does a fantastic job on carpets with high pile. The i3 costs a bit more than the Roborock S4 Max, but it comes with a self-emptying system that cleans the mop pads and replenishes the reservoir with water.
With the i3 application, you can create schedules to clean at a time that is suitable for your requirements. You can also use your voice assistant to control your robot to start or stop the cleaning. It can also track your home's unique layout to provide personalized cleaning habits and schedule. It uses state-of-the-art mapping sensors to navigate hardwood and carpet, and learns your routine to optimize performance.
iRobot Combo i2
The Combo i2 is the latest robot mop and vacuum from iRobot.
